Begging For Screenwriting Work

For the Telly and Radio

I started out in sketch comedy. I've written for TV and radio sketch shows including Tracy Ullman’s Show (BBC1), Watson and Oliver (BBC2) and the BAFTA-winning That Mitchell & Webb Look (BBC2). I've written for kids' TV shows including So Beano (Sky TV), the BAFTA-nominated Sorry I’ve Got No Head (CBBC), and the Emmy-award winning The Adventures of Paddington (Nickelodeon).

In 2017 I was on the BBC Writer's Scheme writing Eastenders. I wrote a short film about the climate crisis, produced by Annalise Davis. It's called Seven. You can see it here.

For The Stage

As well as lots of theatre comedy shows, sometimes with the brilliant Cicely Giddings, my stage writing includes the comedy play 'All The Single Ladies', which toured nationally, and additional material for 'The Two Faces of Mitchell and Webb' tour, which was British Comedy Award nominated.

I love writing lyrics. I've written lots of comedy songs. In 2014 I had the great pleasure of writing the book and lyrics for the musical 'Fabulous Creatures' for the amazing Ruby Dolls. Here they are singing some stuff I wrote on Radio Scotland.

In 2019 I wrote and acted in 'His Name is John' for a festival at the Canal Cafe Theatre, which I'm developing into my fourth play, called 'Mother Of God'.
